Animal fibers
Cashmere, yak down, sheep wool, alpaca and mohair can be developed as pure fibers or blends. Each project defines the composition, yarn count, ply, color, batch documentation and performance direction.
MATERIALS AND YARNS
LuMiao can develop knitwear in animal fibers, silk, plant fibers, regenerated fibers, synthetics and specialty yarn effects. The material choice is translated into a workable yarn specification, knit structure, gauge direction, color route and sample before production.

LuMiao develops and delivers pure and blended cashmere knitwear across cardigans, pullovers, vests, coats, sets and lighter tops. Fiber identity, yarn, structure, surface, garment dimensions and care are converted into one approved project result.
Open material topic 07LuMiao develops and delivers sheep-wool knitwear in pure and blended yarn directions, including products recorded with worsted-spun wool. Fiber identity, yarn route, structure, finishing, dimensions and care are confirmed as one project result.
Open material topic 15LuMiao develops and delivers mulberry-silk knitwear in pure and blended yarn directions across smooth, cable-textured, raised-surface and structured results. Silk identity, composition, yarn construction, visible sample result, garment dimensions and care are confirmed for the actual project.
Open material topic 00Yak-down development is conditional on verified fiber identity, dehairing quality, composition, yarn and batch availability. No current LuMiao product reference is used as proof; the supply route and evidence are confirmed per project.

Mulberry silk, cotton, linen, hemp and ramie support lighter, smoother or drier knitwear directions. Fiber percentage, yarn construction and finishing determine the result more reliably than the fiber name alone.
Viscose or rayon, modal, lyocell, nylon, polyester, acrylic and elastane can support drape, strength, recovery, care and price objectives. The corresponding supply record supports each branded fiber name.
Washi or paper yarn, metallic effects, boucle, chenille, marl and space-dyed yarns create distinctive surface and color effects. The project specification records both the effect and the legal fiber composition.

BUYER QUESTIONS
Confirm the fiber composition, yarn count or system, ply, twist or effect, target color, supplier or batch evidence when relevant, and the intended hand feel, weight and care direction.
LuMiao reviews the replacement yarn against gauge, density, drape, shrinkage, surface and cost, then develops and approves the revised garment specification.
